Approved by the CPC Central Committee, the conference on Asian civilizations will be held in Beijing from May 15 to 22. In order to strengthen the cooperation with foreign institutions, enrich the connotation of dialogue among civilizations in Asia congress, with reference to foreign representatives, on May 17, 2019, in our invitation to Asia cooperation dialogue (general assembly, secretary general of the Lin Sha army carried out "rise in in Regional Economy in China: the challenges of the Next Decade," (the Role of China in the Regional pa: Challenge and -- kyoui of China in the Next Decade) the theme of the lecture. The lecture was presided over by li li, and all the teachers and students actively participated in it.
Bundit Limschoon, Secretary General, Asia Cooperation Dialogue(ACD). Mr. Lin shajun has served as the secretary general of acd since 2013. Before that, he served as director of the information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. He also served as minister, counsellor and first secretary of the embassy of Thailand in Finland, the representative office of Thailand in the world trade organization (Geneva) and the representative office of Thailand in the United Nations (New York). In addition, Mr. Lin shajun was elected President of the general assembly of the world intellectual property organization Bern union.
First of all, Mr. Lin shajun affirmed the rapid development of China's economy and took us back to China's economic achievements since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Mr. Lin said that 70 years ago, China was not as famous as it is today. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, China's economic development has faced many problems. Fortunately, after a long period of practice and exploration, especially after China's accession to the WTO in 2001, China has overcome numerous difficulties and made considerable progress. Now everyone is talking about alibaba, talking about China's economy, China's economy took off.
Secondly, Mr. Lin shajun stressed that both China and Asia have entered a new era of development. Under the new international situation, how to maintain the existing economic status and how to achieve sustainable development are the issues that both China and other Asian countries are thinking about. Mr. Lin shajun believes that China should maintain a friendly partnership with its neighbors and that Asia as a whole is the environment in which China exists. He cited the example of the Asian financial crisis to illustrate this fact, and stressed that governments should not forget about the crisis, and only with reflection can they make real progress. When the overall environment of Asia develops, China will naturally get a positive impact. In handling its relations with other Asian countries, China should show full trust and confidence. The One Belt And One Road is a good platform for promoting Asian cooperation, and the role of the acd conference is becoming increasingly prominent.
Mr. Lin then cited Japan, South Korea and Singapore as examples of technology, human capital and the importance of international law. The new competitive relationship is based on the competition of human capital. The transformation from manufacturing industry to service industry is the overall development demand of Asian countries. In the next decade, education is an important way for China to achieve technological innovation, improve the quality of the labor force, increase the number of the middle class and narrow the gap between the rich and the poor. In the new era, China needs to seize opportunities and take action to achieve sustainable development.
Finally, Mr. Lin stressed once again that Asia is special and that Asian civilizations are diverse. Asia cannot do without China, and China cannot develop without relying on other Asian countries. Therefore, Asian countries should join hands to strengthen dialogue, seek intra-regional cooperation and share the benefits of economic development.
